Carolyn was very well respected in her local community and in the AAU community. She was also known as the "Mother of Swimming" in Illinois. She has dedicated countless hours and devoted many years to the National AAU and the Illinois AAU District.
Carolyn was a woman of wisdom, honor and kindness. She had an amazing heart and we were honored to have been able to share a part of her life. The Amateur Athletic Union of the United States, Inc., is deeply saddened by the loss of our amazing volunteer and friend.

Her life will be cherished by her niece Lianne, her nephews, Larry and Stephen and their extended families, Chrissey Ciraulo, Phil Dodson, and Pete Camin. Preceded in death by her sister, Jenny.
Family and friends will be gathering at Christ Church of Oak Brook, 501 Oak Brook Rd, Oak Brook, IL 60523, on Friday, November 22, 2013. The memorial service will begin at 10 am in the church.

NEW AND IMPROVED MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Please note that our application looks a little different. We now explain our membership programs in the first steps of the application process. It will explain the differences between extended benefit memberships versus the regular memberships.
We want to ensure that our members have the necessary information they need to make an informed choice regarding their memberships and insurance coverage.
Due to insurance restrictions, the AAU will no longer be able to "upgrade" a regular membership to an extended benefit membership.

AAU Jump Rope Members in the Macy's Day Parade!
10/21/2013 | Written by: Amanda Szylin
Most families join in the tradition of watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV, but some members of the Heartbeats Jump Rope team from Cleveland, Ohio will get the chance to participate in the parade. The Heartbeats will coordinate the Macy's Day Parade routine and some will have the chance to participate, along with other jumpers from around the country.
This isn't the first time Heartbeats' coach, Pam Evans, has been a part of the parade. After a difficult application process in 2008, she was allowed to bring 25 jumpers. When she reapplied again the next year, she wanted to take more jumpers from all over the country. Her request was approved and she took 144 that year. This year, she will be taking 212 jumpers, 21 of which are from her Heartbeats team.
