Challenge yourself starting next Monday by adding (1) one new exercise or workout habit into your daily routine. It could be 10 air squats or lunges. It could be 15 total push-ups before 9 am each day and 15 total push-ups before you go to bed at night. 30 push-ups a day all year is over 10,000 push-ups a year. Whatever that one new habit is will make you stronger physically and mentally. Good Luck!

There is an old saying that says you can tell a lot about a person when things don’t go right. There will be times in any sport at all ages when things don’t go as planned. It’s okay, expect it. It happens to the best athletes many times in their career. Here are 3 tips to remember when that happens. First, take a deep breath and then keep going. Second, remember that any challenge is going to make you better. And third, after your event is over, go home and write down the areas you can improve from that situation and then go out and work on making those even better. You can do it!

How can we work to preserve your hard-earned muscle mass during these times of social-distancing? Engage in at home resistant-training type exercises 4-5 times per week.  Aim to consume 15-20 grams of protein at each meal/snack, spread throughout the day and before bedtime. Healthy protein options include:  lean meats, chicken, turkey, fish, cheese, Greek yogurt, eggs, cheese, peanut butter, nuts, beans and whole grains.  Or you can grab a bottle of Ready Protein Water (15 grams protein).
