NATIONAL CHAMPIONS REPRESENT AAU IN BRANSON, MO

Fresh off their undefeated run en-route to winning the 12u AAU Baseball Grand Nationals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports, the Bayas Puerto Rico baseball team recently represented the AAU in the 2nd annual YBN National Championship that took place in Branson, Missouri. The team earned the right to compete in the tournament - which featured the 12u National Champions from across five different youth baseball organizations – via their victory at Grand Nationals.

Despite having to travel further than any other team in the tournament, it was certainly well worth the trip. In addition to competing against some of the best 12u teams in the country, and holding their own, players, coaches, and their families enjoyed many of the attractions in the popular family tourist destination. From riding the famous duckboats as part of the parade of champions to taking in the spectacle of the dancing fountains, Branson provided the perfect setting for a memorable week of baseball and entertainment.

Members of the AAU Baseball Executive Committee were also on-hand to represent the AAU and to cheer on Bayas Puerto Rico. The AAU looks forward to offering 12u teams the opportunity to "take the Road to Branson" and returning to the YBN National Championships in years to come.
